Emily on grass!

Emily returns to Muzaffarnagar after just over two years to see if they still have baboons on the courts; it seems not, this time

More importantly, Em is seeded 4 in the singles and seeded 2 in the dubs for this $25k on her favourite surface.

Here's hoping for a big haul of points, then, to get the show really on the road for our Emily in 2011...

Good starts: 0&0 in R1 of the doubles; 1&0 in R1 of the singles

Keep going, Em

So far, so good

Em through to the singles QF with a 6-4 6-2 win in R2 and the dubs SF with a 6-2 6-4 win in the QFs.

Things might get a bit more sticky now: next up in the singles the world #7 junior Sasai Zheng (CHN) and in the dubs the 4th seeded Indian pairing of Chakravarthi & Venkatesha. Emily and Sakiko Shimizu (JPN) are seeded 2.

Good luck, Em

Bad luck Em

Emily unable to progress here, hampered by injury ; so fingers crossed for recovery in time for the $25k in Burnie Tasmania week commencing 31st January where Em has just been promoted above the cut-off line today into the Main Draw.

Good work, Em!

The points are on today and Em's +34 to be world #402 in the singles list; and in the dubs list +22 to be world #324 (and +3 in the GB list to be #10)

Good luck in Burnie, Em
