Alexander Ward had a great week down in Spain at a 10k getting through qualifying all the way to the QFs, but the last Brit Guy standing on the ITF circuit this week is GB #3 Josh Goodall.

Getting ever closer to Alex Bogdanovic for the #2 slot (world 187 against 197), Josh is top seed here and faces Swiss qualifier Yann Marti in today's semi having gutsed out a win in two tie-break sets in yesterday's QF.

Stephane Robert of France, who had a terrific January to get the player of the month spotlight treatment by ITF, would be his likely opponent in the final. Go, Josh!

Josh did the business today 6-4 6-2 to take his place in tomorrow's final against, as predicted by me if not the seedings, Robert of France. Time to burst his bubble, Josh!!

Stephane Robert's dream 2009 continued today when he racked up his 19th win (with only 2 losses) of the year 6-4 6-3; when a guy's on a roll there's not a lot you can do! Better luck next time, Josh!
