Rather than stay on in Kazakhstan for a second week, Emily has opted to be top seed here week commencing 3rd August; India was a happy hunting ground last year so good luck, Em, lift that title!

Emily coming straight here for back-to-back $10k tournaments and by-passing Kazakhstan; likely to be top seed for both weeks commencing 3rd and 10th August

3 bagels out of 4 in R1

Emily off to a flying start in her come-back after her wrist injury

Seeded 2 in the doubles, won her first round 12-0; seeded 1 in the singles won her first round 0&2.

Keep up the good work, Em!

Another good day at the office, then!

Albeit a very hot office, no doubt, but another 12-0 chalked up (in the singles R2 this time) plus a nice doubles win 6-2 6-2

Keep up the good work, Em!

Another day of 2 wins!

Nice singles QF win 2&2 to set up a semi against the third seed; and a harder earned win through to the doubles final taking the semi on a champions tiebreaker.

Good luck tomorrow, Em

YAY!

That semi looked dangerous against the home hope but Emily has eased through 6-3 6-4.

Lift the title tomorrow Em

That's just champion!

Congratulations Em on lifting the doubles title 6-2 6-4 in the final...just a shame you'll have to put your doubles partner to the sword tomorrow!

Impressive stuff, Emily!

Erstwhile partner duly dispatched 6-1 6-1 and Em lifts the singles title to go with the doubles. Can't say fairer than that!

And the luxury of not having to instantly dash off somewhere else before the next first round; the decision to bypass Kaz looks better and better!

Busy day or what?!

Two monsoons in one day put paid to Em's first round singles being played on the allotted day yesterday, so it was catch-up time today in immensely humid conditions with the little matter of some doubles thrown in too

6-3 6-1 then 6-3 6-2 sounds straightforward; they weren't, judging by Em's blog, but pretty impressive from Em

QF tomorrow against a non-seed

Sadly, the scheduling didn't help the doubles campaign which had started well on Monday with a 3&1 win; but at the end of a tiring day of singles for both Em and Sasha it was a heartbreaking 10-7 champions tiebreaker loss.

It's been a great run for them over the fortnight though; well done you two!

Straight sets again, then!

Em just two matches away from back to back titles after winning her QF 3&2 today

8th seed tomorrow; good luck, Em

YAY

Just one match away now Em!

Tough old encounter today but Em gutsed it out 7-6(4) 4-6 6-2 to make it 9 singles wins out of 9 in Delhi so far

Good luck tomorrow Emily!

How close was that?

The first set went the wrong way by the narrowest of margins, 10-8 in the tie-break ; after which Em's energy was spent.

Brilliant fortnight's work, though; two titles last week and a runners-up spot this week; well done Emily!

Title-winning thoughts (part 2)!

Having brought Emily's first title win in the Canaries back onto page 1, titles 2 & 3 (of 2009) from Delhi needed bringing back too

Go, Emily in 2010

Main Draw thoughts (part 2)

With Emily winning through the Aorangi Park play-offs this last week, time for some positive karma in time for Roehampton!

Good luck, Em
