Thanks Rob; vohor's been sleeping on the job!

Good luck Down Under, Emily

Got started today with a win in the dubs today teaming up with fellow Brit Girl Dani Brown to win R1 6-4 7-5 ; third seeds next up in the QFs; could be a toughie

Em on the rough end of the draw process this week!

Alicia was always going to be a huge challenge, albeit her first competitive singles of her come back. You don't get to be world #8 without knowing a thing or two!

First up after her recent bout of Dengue Fever, Em could have done with a kinder draw for R1; but that's life. Downed 1 & 2

There again, perhaps she'll get the chance for revenge in next week's final? Here's believing!

Dani won through qualifying and came pretty close to overturning a rankings deficit of 233 in R1 going down 4-6 in the 3rd

Emily and Dani gave the doubles 3rd seeds a big run for their money in the QFs before going down in the champions tiebreaker; so that's again.

Better luck next week both

The Darwin II entry list currently has Emily at #6 in the MD and Dani at #11 in the qualies.

OK so Molik won Darwin week one!

Thankfully for Emily, no week 2 re-match in R1
Hopefully, that'll be in the semis

Em seeded 3 this week and all being well will meet Sacha Jones in the QFs who lost to Molik in the semis last week by...yep 1&2; but first things first...good luck in R1 Emily

Em up 2 in the world rankings this week to 291

Dani didn't get through the singles qualies this week, sadly, but she's teaming up again with Emily in the dubs

Good start for Emily's singles campaign this week

R1 win by 3&4 over Hamamura of Japan to earn 8 ranking points and a match-up in R2 against 19 year old Tammi Patterson of Australia, ranked at a career high 798. Em favourite to win that one methinks; go, Emily

Sadly, ITF reversed their overnight posting of Dani & Em's R1 dubs from a win to a loss by 10-4 in the champions breaker

Even better, Em

Efficiently through R2 6-3 6-1 and another 6 ranking points in the bag

6th seed Sacha Jones of New Zealand next up in the QF; Em beat Sacha at the Port Pirie 25k last October and Sacha took 3 sets to subdue lowly opposition in R2 here so the omens are looking good

For the right to play Molik, probably, in the semis...

Go, Emily

No Molik re-match

Disappointing loss for Emily today 3&2; still, a nice 14 ranking points in the bank and a probable rise of 10 world ranking places on Monday week

Mount Gambier next...

Sacha beat Molik

Sacha has clearly hit a purple patch at just the wrong moment for Em ; she downed Molik in straight sets in their SF
