Next stop on the Australian tour for Emily and Dani after a week's break following Darwin is Mount Gambier in South Australia...

Emily earned 42 ranking points in Australia last October so she'll be relishing returning to a happy hunting ground.

Dani nicely through 3 rounds of qualifying

OK the first round was against Bye ; but then beat an Aussie 6-1 6-3 in Q2 and then another 4-6 6-3 6-0 in Q3

Another Aussie next up in R1 of the Main Draw, Sally Peers at her new CH ranking 338 after a couple of good weeks in Darwin; so no pushover at all. Good luck Dani

Emily has a tough Aussie too, Marija Mirkovic who would be the 9th seed here if there were one; nice chance for Em to show off her new, today, world #287 status ; good luck too, Emily

Dani and Emily have split their resources for the dubs this week; Em has teamed up with Aussie Olivia Rogowska to be #1 seeds ; Dani and her Aussie partner face the 3rd seeds in R1.

Fantastic result in R1 for Dani!

Overturned the rankings with a vengeance to beat Peers 7-5 6-1
Next up for Dani 5th seed Giraud ranked 260. Go, Dani!

Dani's out of the dubs, though, she and her partner giving the 3rd seeds a decent run but going down 7-5 6-3

Emily and partner, top seeds , went through to R2 although it was close...10-7 in the match tiebreaker; well done Em

Even better from Dani!

Dani produced maybe the best result of her career in R2 to see off the 5th seed Marinne Giraud of Mauritius, world ranked 259, shaking off the disappointment of losing the first set tiebreaker 7-5 to take the next two 4&4

Top seed Yurika Sema of Japan, world ranked #149, up next. Good luck, Dani

Good news from the doubles, too, for Emily despite being hampered with a niggle to her left arm preventing her using her double handed backhand and which cost her in the singles R1 3&3

Emily and Olivia Rogowska saw off their Japanese semi-final opponents 7-5 4-6 [10-7] to face another Japanese pairing, the 2nd seeded sisters Erika and Yurika Sema, in the final. Lift the title Emily!

Emily lifts the title!

Em continued to put her, of necessity, single handed backhand to excellent use to only go and lift the doubles title with Australia's Olivia Rogowska, seeing off the second seeded Sema sisters of Japan 6-1 5-7 10-7

Looks like a nice adrenalin rush situation at the end there

Emily's first 25k title of her career; congratulations

Sadly, Dani couldn't quite carry her singles QF against the top seed Yurika Sema into a third set going down 0-6 6-7(2); but it's been a great week for Dani

Title-winning thoughts (part 3)!

...and here's Emily's first 25k, and latest, title brought up page 1

Go, Emily in 2010
