Jamie continued his meteoric rise up the rankings which has been gathering pace since his return from four months out with injury in the first half of 2009.
His Career High #211 is becoming a realistic target again and there's another 6 ranking points in the old kit bag after round 1 at the ATP $50k Challenger now being held on the Plexipave of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, USA.
Facing a rankings deficit of 202, Jamie recovered from dropping the first set 3-6 to 8th seeded American Robert Kendrick to take the next 6-4 and then ease his way to the third 6-2. Superb

) ; Jamie and partner face the third seeds in R1, Aussies Hensel and Hubble who Dom and Rylan beat in Charlottesville : perhaps they'll give them some tips!
