From cold & wet to hot hot hot!

Not much chance of rain delays this week as the Aussie ITF $25Ks tour moves inland to temperatures approaching 100 degrees F

Excellent to be able to report that Dani and Joss have both won their way through to join Emily in the Main Draw.

Both had byes in Q1 and comfortable wins in Q2 for the loss of just 7 games total; Q3 promised a sterner test with 5th qseed Joss up against the 16th qseed and 11th qseed Dani facing the 4th qseed.

In the event Joss breezed hers 0&2 and Dani, superbly, overturned the rankings in hers to win 7-6 7-5

Shame Dani's reward is R1 against our Emily and the winner of that faces top seed Olivia Rogowska

Joss is up against Aussie Wild Card Alison Bai, who had a good run last week, in R1 and a match-up in R2 if both get through against 4th seed Jessica Moore AUS

Good luck Girls!

Very nice R1 win for Joss

Tricky match-up against Bai safely negotiated 3&4 ; big chance to pick up a "scalp" in R2 against 4th seed Jessica Moore of Australia who hasn't had a great year (albeit she's still ranked 141 largely thanks to a soft first round draw at the Aussie Open); good luck Joss

Joss and Dani both went down in the dubs but nice to report the third seeds (Emily and Ling Khang! ) have done at least one match better than in Esperance, taking the MTB 10-7 ; fingers crossed for another final together so they can go one better than in Balikpapan at the end of April

Not good news

Emily has finally had to give her wrist injury best and head for surgery

Very best wishes Em

Joss also had to give Jessica Moore a walkover; and Dani went down to Rogowska in R2.

End of thread

Hoping for better news from Australia next week...
